As a new and independent provider of electricity and gas, Square1 Energy has entered the market with a firm focus on delivering excellent customer service – and we’re helping them to install smart meters.
Backed by Dyball Associates – which supported Square1 through the market entry and licensing process – the organisation is now able to operate as an effective energy merchant, with Blue Square Utilities (BSU) helping Square1 customers transition from old meters, to a smarter solution via our contract with Fulcrum metering services.
“We are a new supplier to the electricity and gas market, and have relied on partnerships, support and advice-sharing from the likes of Blue Square Utilities throughout this process,” explained Square1’s managing director, Andrew Hancock.
“BSU has been instrumental in the fitting, testing and activation of meters for our customers, and we have been impressed by the quality of the team’s work. We’d also say a particular ‘thank you’ to Martin Drinkwater, team leader of meter installations, at BSU for all of his help.”
Steve Lees, CEO at BSU explained: “Having worked in several organisation over the years, I know how important it is to foster relationships with companies in their early days. Our team is committed to doing an exceptional job – regardless of whether the client is a household name or a start-up brand.”
Brian Robertson, client relationship manager at BSU concluded: “When organisations come onto the market, it’s often tough for them to create relationships in such a competitive arena. Green shoots are appearing, and it’s important for us to help nurture those trying to establish themselves. We’re looking forward to seeing Square1 grow, and hope to be a part of their journey for many years to come.”
